The Hole

Two years before the events of Awake, Yet Still Dreaming, Demi's life begins to unravel after she discovers a mysterious black hole embedded in the wall of her home.

At first, it appears harmless. But the hole defies the laws of reality—it has no end, moves when she looks away, and begins appearing throughout the world. As Demi desperately tries to destroy it, she realizes the phenomenon may not be invading her surroundings at all.

It may be inside her.

Her encounter with the Void ultimately leads to her confinement in a psychiatric ward, where she learns of a mysterious experiment known as Project Sleeping Angel—the first clue to a phenomenon connecting her to the same cosmic force that will eventually find Mai.

THE HOLE is a psychological cosmic-horror one-shot and a prequel to Awake, Yet Still Dreaming, expanding the mythology of the Cosmic Dream Saga.

『覚めて、なお夢の中』の出来事の二年前。デミは自宅の壁に埋め込まれた謎の黒い穴を発見し、それを機に彼女の日常は崩れ始める。

最初は無害に見えた。だがその穴は現実の法則を無視していた——底がなく、目を離せば移動し、やがて世界中に出現し始めたのだ。デミが必死に破壊しようとするうち、彼女は気づく。この現象は、周囲を侵食しているのではないかもしれない。

それは、彼女の内側にあるのかもしれない。

虚空との出会いは、最終的に彼女を精神病院の隔離へと導く。そこで彼女は「スリーピング・エンジェル計画」と呼ばれる謎の実験の存在を知る——やがて舞を見出すことになる、同じ宇宙的力に彼女をつなぐ現象への最初の手がかり。

『穴』は心理的宇宙ホラーの読み切り作品であり、『覚めて、なお夢の中』の前日譚として、宇宙夢幻譚の神話を広げる物語である。
